Air permeability Air permeability is the rate of air flow through a fabric under a diferential pressure between the front and back surfaces. This test measures in cubic feet per ,inute a fabric's resistance to air flow. These measurements have a direct correlation to the fabric's breathability. High valus may indicate poor resistance to particle filtrations.
Moisture vapor transmission(MVT)

This test measures the rate of water vapor passing through the fabric in 24 hours by grams per meter squared. the higher the number, the more breathable and comfortable the fabric. Fabrics with very high MVT's are indicative of looser construction and have a greater tendency for bacteria filtration.

Static decay This test measures in seconds the time required for a charge to decay from 5,000 volts to 50 volts. The dhorter the decay time, the faster the fabric can dissipate the charge.
Surface resistivity

Electrical resisitivity influences the accumulation and dissipation of electrostatic chaarge. This test measures in ohms per squire unit the electrical resistivity on a fabric surface.

The three surface types of resistivity ranges

Anti-static : 1010-1013ohms/sq

Static Dissipative : 105-109ohms/sq

Conductive : <=104ohms/sq
